Campus Video Shoot

The objective of your video shoot day: To obtain footage for use in marketing materials like websites, social media, emails, and other digital media outlets. The video footage shot on your campus will portray your school and its students and instructors in the most positive light to encourage prospective students to apply and graduate with skills and confidence.

Step 1: Build Your Video Shoot Day Schedule

**Campus President must complete and return 2 weeks prior to shoot.**

Step 2: Complete the form below AND Add Your Shoot Day Schedule as an attachment

Prior to the video shoot day, a virtual meeting will be set up to walk through your proposedshoot day schedule with the production crew and EA marketing team.

Step 3: Prepare your campus for video shoot day

  • Make sure to schedule a video shoot on a day when the school is most populated with experienced, soon-to-be graduate students taking classes and participating in labs. This will ensure engaging B-roll footage, and the ability for our production crew to capture your schoolin an active, well-attended scenario.
  • Tidy up lobby, hallways, and classrooms and labs where video shooting will take place
  • Remove clutter, trash cans, food, and anything else that may reflect poorly in video
  • Display awards, signage, posters, instruments, and other resources that showcase aprofessional, inviting environment
  • Assign 1 room for the video production crew to store, charge, and lock up their equipment
  • Plan for 30-minute lunch break for production crew; campus should plan to order foodfor the crew and EA staff
  • Provide a campus map for the production crew if possible

Guidelines

For Interviews

  • Make sure to group interviewees together to limit the amount of shuffling back andforth between labs; the crew requires 15 minutes to set up and break down equipment in each lab or classroom.
  • Secure 2-3 graduates or soon-to-be graduates per program 
  • Plan for campus president and select senior leadership to be interviewed in the sameroom or lab where the production crew is already set up 
  • Plan for 15 minutes per interview 
  • Participation on camera is voluntary; secure individuals who will be comfortable speaking clearly and confidently in front of a camera, are excited to participate, and who may best represent your school. 
  • Choose graduates or soon-to-be graduates who will be successfully completing their program within 4-6 weeks. 
  • Ensure interviewees are dressed appropriately and in presentable, clean school uniforms or professional work attire 

For B-roll footage

  • Plan for 30 minutes of video shooting time in each designated lab to capture B-rollfootage. 
  • B-roll footage should capture an active lab session, where senior level students are engaging with their instructors, and/or are showcasing hands-on tasks
